Jujitsu,
Physical Fitness, 4H Club, Academic Incentive Program, Homework Help, Arts
and Crafts, and HipHop Dances
If you can take a few hours one or more afternoons a week to play and work with some kids, they would love to see you. WE NEED YOUR HELP!

Kids' Klub is a free after-school program sponsored by St. Paul's and conducted on church grounds each day school is in session. Kids' Café, a national feeding program for under-served children, provides hot meals to the children on each of these days. A small, part-time staff and a large group of volunteers supervise, instruct, and support local children via tutoring, monitoring outdoor sports, and leading arts and crafts. Volunteers help us keep the budget down and the quality up. Payback for the volunteers comes in the form of fulfillment, the satisfaction of making a difference, and the joy of being with children. Many of these children come from low-income families, needing both food and loving adult supervision in the afternoon. FYI: funding for our program comes through individual donations, the generosity of St. Paul's, grants, and annual fund raisers.
VSA Arts
schedules two teachers at Kids' Klub each week. With the assistance of these
two artists, the children experience drama, visual arts, and creative movement.
Aikido classes are also available. We want to give these kids the best possible
chance to be confident and successful in their lives. Studies show the Arts
in after school programs improve confidence, learning, and performance.
WHAT WE NEED MOST FROM YOU IS YOUR TIME! Volunteer one afternoon a week, or
one afternoon every other week, from 3:15 to 5:15 pm. The children, usually
ranging from ages 5 to 12, are creative, energetic, bright, and filled with
potential! If you cannot be on site during after school hours, perhaps you
can help us with the Taco Fiesta Saturday, April 30, from 3 pm to 7 pm. Maybe
you have a skill, an artistic talent, or information you can share with the
children on a one-time basis. If you can help out in any way with the program,
call KIDS' KLUB at 358-5505.
Look for the Kids' Klub bulletin board in the church entry hall for a list of home supplies that are needed. There is also a plastic bin for your donated items in the choir room.
