Introducing
TIFFANY MADDEN
Executive Director of Kids' Klub
Tiffany
has extensive experience working with children's programs for the YMCA of the
Sierra. She is a graduate of UNR, with a major in Social Work, and attended
McQueen High School.
Tiffany is an active member of Sparks Christian Fellowship and brings a deep faith commitment to her work. She will be supervising four staff members and overseeing both our before and after school programs. She is developing a new team, which now includes KRISTA, heading up the Morning program..
In the past four years, Kids' Klub has developed from a volunteer program of St. Paul's Episcopal Church into a much bigger operation serving over 70 kids every day. The before school program began this year as a result of a UTO (United Thank Offering) grant, which provides breakfast and quiet activities for children who are on their own before the school bell rings.
At 3:00 pm every day, children stream to St. Paul's from all over the neighborhood. Their ages range from 2 to 15. They are met by a wonderful staff and dedicated volunteers. A hot meal is provided. The academic incentive program encourages schoolwork and improved grades. Outdoor activities develop physical skills and teamwork and a variety of nutrition, arts, martial arts and 4-H activities develop the whole child.
This year Tiffany will work with the Advisory Board to establish Kids' Klub as a separate, non-profit organization. This will enable the program to apply for additional grants. St. Paul's will continue its support Kids' Klub by hosting the program, providing in-kind donations, volunteers and financial support. We're proud of what is being accomplished and grateful to welcome Tiffany into this wonderful project!
